Dr. Hoina is one of the physicians on our staff
that truly embodies the philosophy of our mission statement. He is a
podiatrist with extensive training and his services are invaluable to LIHBO.
He received his hyperbaric and wound care training in San Antonio, Texas in
1998. However, his experience in treating patients with chronic wounds and
diseases of the foot and lower extremity is far more extensive.
Dr. Hoina received his undergraduate training at
Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and went on to receive his Masters at
Michigan State University in East Lansing. He graduated as a DPM from New

the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons and the American Board of Podiatric
Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. Soon to follow, he was inducted
as a Fellow into the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Hoina has served as Chief of
