     It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Long Island Hyperbaric and Wound Care Associates and to our new location at North Shore LIJ Plainview Hospital. Our institution was established in 1998 in response to the growing number of Americans who suffer pain and disability from chronic non-healing wounds and ulcers. In the last several years, there have been dramatic advances in technologies and medications that we are now able to offer our patients. Rapid and complete healing is the goal we strive for with all our patients and a return to a lifestyle as close to normal as possible.
     Our team utilizes a multidisciplinary approach including physicians, podiatrists, orthotists, registered nurses and infectious disease specialists to name but a few. We are also proud to announce that three of our physicians are now board certified in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, a subspecialty of the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Our institution is growing as are the numbers of our patient success stories. We are now one of the largest hyperbaric and wound care centers on the eastern seaboard.
